Who we are
This website, borerwise.co.nz, is operated by Borer Wise. It publishes information about borer treatment and passes enquiries to independent local borer treatment businesses, who quote and do the work.
What we collect
When you send the form, we collect what you type into it: your full name, phone number, email address, street address, suburb, the type of job, when you would like it done and any details you add. We also record that you ticked the consent box.
Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own.
Why we collect it
We use your details to pass your enquiry to local borer treatment businesses so they can contact you and quote, to reply if you contact us, and to keep a record of which businesses received your enquiry.
Who we pass it to
We pass the details you send to one or more independent local borer treatment businesses, who may contact you about the job. Once a business has your details, it handles them under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your details to anyone else for marketing.
The form is delivered through Web3Forms, an email form service, and the site is hosted on Cloudflare. They process the data only to provide those services.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to handle the job and keep track of referrals, and no longer than two years.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email contact@borerwise.co.nz and we will reply within the time the law sets. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the privacy regulator in New Zealand.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
